Title– Childcare Room Leader Full-time
Permanent position – 40 hours per week, Monday – Friday
Based at – First Steps Creche, Parish Centre Grounds, Ballybeg, Waterford
Start Date – 24th August 2026
Job Purpose – To undertake the responsibility of leading a team to deliver a holistic child-centred program under the guidance of the National Quality Frameworks, Aistear and Síolta and in line with First Steps Creche child centred vision.
Qualification & Experience:
· The ideal applicant will hold a certification for a major award in childcare/ early education at a minimum of level 7 on the National Framework of Qualification of Ireland (NFQ) or an equivalent nationally recognised qualification.
· Two years post qualification experience of working in an early-years setting.
· Leadership experience, First Aid, Manual Handling, Child Protection are an advantage but not essential as training will be provided if necessary.

Salary: €19.80 per hour.
