We are looking for 1 full-time Chinese Cooks to join our progressive restaurant. We require 5 positive and ambitious candidates who can handle responsibility with ease whilst remaining focused and in control in a fast-paced environment.

Job Title: Chinese Cook

Location: Wellington CBD

Employment Type: Full-time

Days required: Monday to Sunday on shift

Hourly Rate: $28.18 to $30 per hour

Hours per week: 30 hours to 50 hours per week

Number of Vacancies: 1 positions

Key tasks & responsibilities:

Ensuring all Chinese Cuisine dishes are prepared to restaurant specifications.
Ensuring all restaurant Chinese Cuisine recipes and preparation requirements are met.
Ensuring temperatures, seasonings and flavors are to specification.
Ensuring all foods are presented and served in a timely manner and in the correct sequence.
Ensuring the storage of foods and others meet restaurant and statutory Health and Safety requirements.
Preparing food to meet special dietary requirements.
Updating and developing new cooking techniques and procedures in accordance with the new menu.
General kitchen cleaning and hygiene duties.

No prior experience or qualifications are required, but would be an advantage if you have experience in this industry.
On-the-job training will be provided if you are the right one.

Time management and punctuality.
