CI/CD Technical Team Lead
Digital Enterprise Solutions, Inc. (DESI) is seeking a CI/CD Technical Team Lead to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This is a Full-time (Regular) Exempt (Salary) position. Telework will be allowed but the successful candidate must be able to visit the customer site in St. Mary's County Maryland 1-2 times per month. Therefore, candidates must be within a reasonable driving distance to St. Mary's County Maryland (20670).

ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Responsible for the cost, schedule, and performance of the CI/CD team and associated projects.
  • Accountable for leading the team and the operation of the CI/CD platform and will work with both internal and external stakeholders on the future vision of the CI/CD platform.
  • Serves as the primary POC for the joint CI/CD Team and Container Team efforts.
  • Represents the team at meetings with stakeholders, often briefing out platform capabilities.
  • Oversees maintenance activities of existing CI/CD environment and onboarding of customers into GitLab.
  • Communicates CI/CD upgrades and new features to customers via various methods such as email, Teams, and holding/presenting symposiums.
  • Proactively research ways to improve and expand CI/CD offerings and oversee execution of approved technical plans for efforts such as moving CI/CD capability from on-prem to the cloud.
  • Create and manage execution of budgets related to CI/CD offerings (including labor, hardware, software, and cyber security costs).
  • Maintain working relationships with CI/CD software vendors, renew software maintenance contracts, and ensure CI/CD environments remains in compliance with software licenses.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
To be considered for this position, you must meet the education and experience listed below:
  • BA/BS degree and 10 years of relevant experience -OR- associate's degree and 14 years of relevant experience -OR- High School diploma and 16 years of relevant experience.
  • Degree's in Compter Science, Information Systems, or similar discipline preferred.
  • To be considered, degrees must be from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To be considered for this position, you must minimally meet the knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below:
  • Leadership and technical project management experience with ability to oversee cost, schedule, and performance for multiple projects.
  • Strong DevOps experience as a Senior DevOps Engineer who has supported containerized applications.
  • Strong demonstrated experience with CI/CD using GitLab.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience preparing technical guidance/how-to instructions, test plans, giving presentations, demos, and presenting training to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Understanding of DoD cyber security guidelines and how to resolve code vulnerabilities.
  • Experience interpreting cyber security requirements such as Rapid Assess and Incorporate Software Engineering (RAISE) in order to ensure pipeline continues to meet security requirements.
  • Ability to login to classified cloud network by physically coming onsite to Naval Air Station Patuxent River (NAS Pax) in St. Mary's County Maryland, going to another DoD location offering access to a classified network that can access the IL6 Cloud, or other approved means for classified access (such as NEMCC seat).
  • US Citizenship is required due to US government contract requirements.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET clearance (interim required to start).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates with experience or knowledge in these desired skills will be given preferential consideration:
  • Experience with CI/CD related tools such as GitLab Ultimate, DORA metrics, and Prisma Cloud (formerly Twistlock).
  • Experience with OpenShift, Nexus, or Amazon ECS.
  • Experience working in a DoD environment.
  • Experience with DISA Application Security & Development (AS&D) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) checklist.
  • GitLab certification.
  • PMI PMP certification.
  • Active SECRET clearance.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
The compensation range is based on industry compensation data and/or position budget and reflects our commitment to transparency and fairness:
  • The annual base compensation range is $130,000 to $160,000, commensurate with education, certifications, and experience.
  • Other compensation may include discretionary bonuses, referral rewards, and spot awards.
