Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Civil Foreman/Woman specializing in Water and Sewer projects to lead and oversee construction operations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction management experience, and a solid understanding of water and sewer infrastructure. This role involves supervising crews, managing project timelines, ensuring quality standards, and maintaining safety protocols to deliver successful project outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities related to water and sewer infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to project plans and specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, and construction drawings to guide on-site operations.
- Monitor quality control measures throughout the construction process to meet industry standards and client expectations.
- Manage project budgets by tracking costs and resources effectively while minimizing waste.
- Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular safety meetings to maintain a safe work environment.
- Oversee the training and supervision of crew members, fostering a productive team environment.
- Perform site inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Proven supervisory experience in water and sewer construction projects.
- Extensive construction experience with a focus on water/sewer infrastructure.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction estimates accurately.
- Familiarity with quality control procedures, budgeting processes, and construction estimating techniques.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within the construction industry.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in project documentation.
- Construction management certification or relevant technical training is preferred but not required.
