CPP Civil
CPP have a dedicated in-house Civil construction department that plays a critical role in project delivery, providing scoping, estimating, management, and construction of civil works across transmission lines, renewables, and utility projects—giving us greater control over key project components.
Our capabilities include access tracks, roads, structural foundations, cable trenches, conduits, oil containment, and site infrastructure such as laydown areas and facilities. We also manage bulk earthworks, drainage, fencing, and signage, ensuring seamless integration of civil works into every project we deliver.
The Opportunity
As a Civil Leading Hand, you'll play a key role in the successful delivery of our industry-leading transmission and renewable energy projects, leading onsite structural concrete works and supporting your crew to deliver high-quality outcomes safely and efficiently. Working closely with Supervisors and Project Teams, you'll coordinate day-to-day activities across piling, formwork, reinforcement, cast-in items and concrete pours, ensuring works are completed to the highest standard, on time and within budget. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for someone who enjoys mentoring others and delivering critical infrastructure projects.
Skills and Experiences:
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess:
Demonstrated experience as a Civil Leading Hand within structural concrete or civil construction projects.
A trade qualification in Carpentry or a related building trade.
Proven experience leading crews undertaking structural concrete works, including piling, formwork, reinforcement, setting cast-in items and concrete pours.
Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications to coordinate onsite activities.
A proactive, hands-on leadership style with a strong commitment to safety, quality and productivity.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively coordinate crews, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
Current machinery tickets and experience operating civil plant and equipment will be highly regarded.
Current First Aid Certificate (essential).
Construction White Card and a current driver's licence.
