This is a technical specialist role which exists, to provide a Quality Assurance function to the Claims team, with a particular focus on the avoidance of new code and compliance and/or remediation issues.
This role is also accountable for ensuring the Claims team's compliance with agreed claims processes and frameworks, ensuring good member outcomes consistent with the MAS strategy and Purpose. As a senior member of the team, this role is also expected to perform audits as per the Natural Hazard Commission handling agreement.

What a day might look like
- Contribute to monitoring the performance of the claims, reporting on claims management and designing coaching that will provide continuous improvement
- Work closely with the general insurance leadership team and Risk Managers, to ensure an awesome customer experience aligned to MAS' purpose
- Work collaboratively with the Claims leadership team in the development and implementation of effective claims management processes, policies, frameworks and operating procedures to ensure great claims outcomes
- Create and implement a continuous improvement framework and work plan
- Responsible for following through on any continuous improvement or claim process development related opportunities for the team improvement
What you'll bring

- Seasoned insurance professional with a minimum of 5 years' experience in claims
- Experience in Natural Hazard Commission Claims & a financial services qualification is desirable
