Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Claims Analyst to investigate, manage, and resolve claims involving damage to company property. The Claims Analyst will work with internal teams, customers, responsible third parties, and outside agencies to investigate claims, pursue financial recoveries, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure timely resolution.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage a high volume of claims while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate claims involving damage to company property and determine responsible parties.
- Pursue claims against responsible third parties to maximize fair and equitable financial recovery.
- Review claim documentation, supporting evidence, invoices, reports, and other relevant information.
- Track and maintain assigned claims throughout the investigation and resolution process.
- Communicate with company personnel, customers, responsible parties, insurance representatives, and outside agencies to facilitate timely claim resolution.
- Respond to claim inquiries promptly, professionally, and accurately.
- Follow up on outstanding claims, documentation, payments, and recovery requests.
- Research and resolve claim-related discrepancies and billing or recovery disputes.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in claims databases and internal systems.
- Ensure all required supporting documentation is received, reviewed, and properly recorded.
- Prioritize and manage a high volume of assigned claims while meeting established deadlines and productivity goals.
- Escalate complex or disputed claims to management when appropriate.
- Provide clear written and verbal communication to clients, management, internal departments, and external parties.
- Follow company policies, procedures, and applicable claims-handling guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
- Previous experience in claims, insurance, property damage, billing, collections, customer service, or case management preferred.
- Strong investigation, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple claims and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong follow-up and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred Experience
- Experience handling property damage or third-party claims.
- Experience with subrogation, recovery, collections, or liability claims.
- Experience working with claims databases or case management systems.
- Experience communicating with insurance companies, contractors, customers, or outside agencies.
Pay: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
