POSITION(S): Class IIA - Cafeteria Support

LOCATION(S): Smith Elementary

HOURS: 2 hours per day

DEPARTMENT: Food Service

RATE OF PAY: Per SMESPA Contract

REPORTS TO: Food Service Director

QUALIFICATIONS:

1) High School diploma or GED

2) Prior experience in food service employment preferred

3) Ability to work well with all employees, students and families.

4) Punctual and good attendance record

5) Good organizational skills/ability to plan ahead

6) Ability to work efficiently and accurately under tight time constraints

7) Familiar with or capable of learning cash register

8) Knowledge of safe food handling under Health Department Regulations

9) Ability to meet physical requirements of the job; repetitive bending/twisting and lifting.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Complete duties efficiently, including but not limited too; food prep, clean up, stocking kitchen

2) Assume responsibility for storage and disposal of unused foods.

3) Serve or cashier during meal service

4) Complete required training

5) Punctual, reliable and predictable attendance is required

6) Other duties as assigned
