Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Classroom Assistant to support our middle school educators in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and possess skills in education and classroom management. This role is essential in helping to foster a positive atmosphere that encourages student engagement and development.

Duties

• Assist teachers in implementing lesson plans and educational activities tailored to students' needs.
• Support literacy, math, and science education through hands-on activities and individualized instruction.
• Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a conducive learning environment.
• Provide care and supervision for children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
• Collaborate with teachers on curriculum development and lesson planning.
• Engage with students one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
• Facilitate activities that promote childhood development, including social skills and emotional regulation.
• Maintain open communication with teachers regarding student progress and any concerns.
• Assist in organizing classroom materials, resources, and equipment as needed.

Experience

• Completed Paraprofessional test with a score of at least 457 or 60 college credits in core curriculum.
• Previous experience working with children in a classroom setting is preferred.
• Background in education or related fields is highly desirable.
• Experience with behavior management strategies to support diverse learners.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and staff members.
• Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and adaptability when working with children of varying abilities.
