**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a dedicated individual for classroom grades as a Certified Education Assistant to support children with their educational activities and assist in classroom settings for elementary grades. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children, particularly those with special education needs. An effective CEA needs to be highly intuitive towards the students’ personalities, needs, and their signs of regulation. They must act accordingly to make necessary adjustments throughout the day to meet the students needs. This role requires strong communication skills and a background in education.

CEAs work under the direction of the classroom teacher to implement the student's Individualized Education Program. CEAs work under the general supervision of the school principal. Teachers are responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and assessment of the educational program for students with diverse needs. With the teacher's direction, CEAs contribute to the student's learning by:

**Duties:**

- Assist in educating and supporting children with special education requirements in the classroom grades

- Work closely with teachers to develop and implement educational plans

- Provide one-on-one support to students as needed

- Provide specific and targeted support throughout the day to students who require additional support

- Create a positive and inclusive learning environment

- Utilize knowledge of math manipulatives to aid in teaching

- Support classroom activities and help maintain a structured learning environment

**Experience:**

- Experience working with children, especially those with diverse needs

- Background in childhood education or related field

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students and teachers

- Ability to collaborate with educators to enhance the learning experience for all learners

**Training:**

Completion of the Certified Educational Assistant program from a recognized educational institution. Wages dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour
