Position Overview:
Responsibilities:
- Clears tables when customers are finished. Promptly clean table tops and chairs between seating. Checks floor and cleans as required.
- Cleans and polishes metalwork, such as fixtures, fittings, and elevators.
- Sweeps, dry mops, and wet mops floors.
- Cleans entrance doors, windows, and glass.
- Inspect assigned restroom every 60 minutes; cleans and disinfects sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, walls, and all touch spots as required.
- Replenishes supplies.
- Refills cleaning bottles with solution from dispenser.
- Restocks paper towel and toilet paper dispensers.
- Empties garbage, recycling, and composting receptacles.
- Uses a 2-way radio to communicate with staff.
- Receives and responds to calls throughout the day to clean up spills.
- Responds appropriately to customers' requests.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have some secondary school education.
- Must have a minimum of up to 1 month of related experience.
- Must be willing to work various shifts to accommodate work schedules or special projects including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Must have a knowledge of proper floor care and cleaning techniques, as per industry standards including but not limited to the safe and proper use of custodial equipment such as floor-scrubbers, sweepers, burnishers, floor buffers, and steam cleaners for walls and tiles and related procedures.
- Must have knowledge of Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) for the safe use and clean-up of hazardous materials.
- Must have well developed customer service skills.
- Must be reliable with a good attitude and employment record.
