Cleaner – Osmondthorpe Lane, Leeds, LS9 9BJ

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Cleaner to join our team, providing essential cleaning services at a busy and hazardous train depot located on Osmondthorpe Lane, Leeds, LS9 9BJ. This role requires attention to detail, a proactive approach, and strict adherence to health and safety protocols.

Job Details:

• Location: Osmondthorpe Lane, Leeds, LS9 9BJ
• Position: Cleaner
• Hours: 26 hours per week
• Monday / Tuesday / Wednesday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Thursday / Friday: Rest Days
• Saturday / Sunday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 AM
• Pay: £11.44 per hour
• Start Date: Immediate

Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain depot offices, corridors, toilets, showers, and mess rooms.
• Ensure all areas are sanitised, tidy, and stocked with necessary supplies.
• Follow cleaning schedules and tasks in line with COSHH regulations and depot-specific safety protocols.
• Manage waste disposal safely and responsibly.
• Adhere to strict Health and Safety guidelines, especially in hazardous depot environments.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar cleaning role.
• Current and valid DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check.
• Comprehensive knowledge of COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations.
• Strong understanding of Health and Safety practices, particularly in hazardous environments.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and complete tasks to a high standard.
• Reliability and punctuality, with a strong commitment to maintaining a clean and safe environment.
