Cleaning And Ground Service Support Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

Sky View Suites Group Inc. was founded in 2004 as is one of the fastest growing corporate housing providers (www.skviewsuites.com) in the downtown Toronto area.

We are searching for an ambitious, resourceful, and dependable candidate. This is a full-time position for immediate employment . The role is a key aspect of the business, and the right candidate will bring a strong work ethic and professionalism to the position.

A successful candidate will have exceptional interpersonal skills and will be able to connect with various teams in the organization, as well as communicate effectively with clients to manage expectations. They will also have an eye for detail to deliver an exceptional experience for all incoming corporate guests. They will need to be able to be quick in their decision making to ensure maintenance solutions are delivered in very narrow time frames.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Staff Management Support:

  • Personally undergo rigorous cleaning training program and groun service support programs
  • Ensure that cleaning team maintains the expectations delivered via the training program and that the ground services team follows the helpdesk flow
  • Hire, train, mentor and oversee the cleaning team and the ground service support team for maintenance issues.
  • Provide feedback on the quality of furnished suites available to rent and working with the Operations team to ensure proper maintenance of suites
  • Monitor staff performance metrics and report back to the cleaning/sales director
  • Assist with creation of annual staffing budgets & determine appropriate staffing levels
  • Maintain and develop housekeeping manuals and procedures, and communicate to staff
  • Ensure that lockers are equipped and stock to support staff to complete their tasks as efficiently as possible
  • Support staff to bring items required to cleaning sites when things are missing
  • Run the inhouse laundry operation and manage staff in that team directly
  • Prepare and update cleaning schedules, and communicate to staff

Quality control:

  • Implement and monitor a thorough inspection process.
  • Inspection of suites looking for cleaning deficiencies, as well as suite deficiencies that will impact a guest’s stay
  • Ensure work is completed efficiently and to a high standard.
  • Ensure housekeeping staff are using designated tools, processes & checklists.
  • Respond to guest feedback & requests, and work with senior management to implement required changes / solutions.
  • Occasionally perform housekeeping services (in case of unexpected staff shortages or urgent quality issues).
  • Consistently review tenancy schedule & liaise with leasing team to ensure units are cleaned prior to guest arrival.
  • Suggest processes to sales and operations team, with integration of the cleaning team to continuously improve client offering

Inventory / Supplies Management:

  • Track inventory, organize and order supplies in a timely & cost efficient manner
  • Oversee counts of linens and ensure appropriate amounts available for weekly turnovers
  • Ensure use of appropriate / safe cleaning products & equipment
  • Manage and control access to housekeeping designated lockers
  • Maintain order and stock levels in housekeeping designated lockers

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • Strong written communication skills & familiarity with mobile phone technology & MS Excel.
  • University Degree or College Degree
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented and adaptable.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • Ability to handle pressure in a dynamic and fast-changing environment.
  • Must be able to work occasional weekends and holidays.
  • Must have clean background check.
  • Fluent in Portuguese and/or Spanish a plus
  • 1-2 years of cleaning experience a plus

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
