About the role:
The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)
is the provision of care that is respectful of, and responsive to individual patient/family preferences, needs, and values

Under the general direction of the Manager, Patient Billing, the Client Specialist, Patient Accounts is responsible for
all clerical and processing duties, patient, insurance and external agency contact in order to collect on all accounts
prior to 120 days of aging as well as other duties as may be assigned . Within defined procedures and time frames
the incumbent follows up with patients and/or insurance, confers with the Manager, Patient Billing on aged accounts,
bad debts and adjustments as necessary to collect accounts and improve processes. The critical success factor for
this position is accuracy, review, cooperation and productivity in providing overall and designated assistance to the
office.

Qualifications:
* Minimum Secondary School Graduation Diploma or equivalent.
* Excellent oral and written communication and interview skills, including pleasant disposition, tact and ability to
communicate effectively with patients and others.
* Excellent organizational skills for task completion and prioritization to meet deadlines under pressure and achieve
performance standards related to collection.
* Sound knowledge of private insurance plans and other insuring agencies is required, with previous experience in a
computerized accounts receivable/collections system.
* Proven speed, accuracy and proficiency in performing calculations and keyboarding.
* Proficiency in personal computer applications, Excel and Word in a networked Windows environment.
* Must be bondable.

Salary Range: $28.208 to 28.879
