About the Role
The Registered Nurse Clinical Coach role is responsible for promoting targeted and planned point of care clinical education and coaching for an identified individual nurse, nursing cohort or team. This role supports relevant Emergency Department education plans.
The clinical coach will work in partnership with a variety of other roles including the Nurse Manager, Nurse educator and preceptors and will work rostered shifts sharing a caseloads with the nurse to maximise education and coaching opportunities.

The Emergency Department at Tauranga Hospital is a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality, patient-centered acute care 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
We serve a diverse population with a wide range of clinical presentations—from minor injuries to life-threatening emergencies.
Our team is made up of skilled healthcare professionals who are passionate about emergency care and dedicated to delivering timely, compassionate treatment in a high-pressure setting. Working collaboratively across disciplines, we focus on rapid assessment, evidence-based practice, and seamless care coordination to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.

About you
- Minimum of 3 years post registration experience in the Emergency care setting
- Experienced preceptor
- Minimum proficient portfolio aiming for expert
