Beacon Children’s Centre is hiring a Clinical Director / Registered Behaviour Analyst (RBA) to lead clinical oversight of our ABA program, engaged as an independent contractor at an hourly rate.

About Beacon Children’s Centre
Beacon is a pediatric clinic in Mississauga offering ABA, Occupational Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology under our tagline, “Guiding Every Child Forward.” Our clinicians are regulated (CPBAO, COTO, CASLPO), and our services are OAP-eligible and HST-exempt.
The clinical team includes behaviour therapists, supervised RBAs, occupational therapists, and a speech-language pathologist. The Clinical Director is the lead for the ABA program and the main clinical contact for ownership.
Key responsibilities
Clinical oversight
- Lead the ABA program and hold clinical responsibility for client programming and outcomes
- Complete ABA assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and review progress
- Make programming changes and write discharge reports and letters of recommendation as needed
Supervision and team development
- Supervise behaviour therapists (BTs) and supervised RBAs, with scheduled supervision sessions and direct observation
- Provide training, feedback, and clinical guidance to support quality and consistency
- Be available to supervise team members when they are working with clients
Documentation and compliance
- Maintain accurate supervision records, session notes, and clinical documentation
- Meet CPBAO documentation and professional-practice requirements
- Follow Beacon’s policies, including the seizure emergency protocol and consent procedures
Family and team communication
- Lead parent meetings, school and professional consultations, and caregiver coaching
- Work with our OT and SLP clinicians on integrated, coordinated care
- Join a weekly check-in with ownership on clinic operations, caseload, and team needs
Clinic growth
- Help ownership shape service offerings, group programs, and clinical processes as the clinic grows
- Support intake and enrolment conversations with families on clinical fit and program recommendations
Qualifications
Required
- Registered Behaviour Analyst (R.B.A.) in good standing with the College of Pediatric and Behavioural Analysts of Ontario (CPBAO)
- Experience providing ABA services to children, including assessment and treatment planning
- Experience supervising BTs or supervised RBAs
- Experience with Jane App, including scheduling, charting, and billing
- Eligibility to work as an independent contractor in Ontario, with your own business registration and liability insurance
- Strong written and verbal communication with families and colleagues
Preferred
- Experience in a leadership or clinical director role
- Familiarity with OAP-funded programs and Ontario ABA billing practices
- Experience with JASPER or similar naturalistic developmental approaches
- Vulnerable Sector Check (or willingness to obtain one) before starting
Engagement and compensation
This is an independent contractor role paid by the hour, with no benefits, vacation pay, or ownership interest.
Hourly rate
$[rate]/hour, based on experience (to be confirmed by ownership)
Billing
Invoice monthly for hours worked, including supervision, assessments, and clinical meetings
Pay: $45.00-$75.00 per hour
