Introduction:
About the Opportunity
Are you a passionate clinical educator ready to step into a highly visible, autonomous role where you can influence both clinical excellence and broader organisational culture?
Columbia Aged Care Services is seeking a dynamic Clinical Education Lead to drive training, compliance, and staff development across our three residential communities in NSW. Reporting directly to the Chief People Officer, you will partner closely with Facility Managers to be the driving force behind our clinical training plans, competency frameworks, and core workforce capability.
Based at our Strathdale Centre in Strathfield, with some travel to our two other sites, this is an exceptional opportunity to mentor frontline care teams, champion our organisational onboarding journey, and embed a rewarding culture of continuous learning that directly impacts resident safety and dignity.
Why Join Us?
- Strategic & Autonomous: Report to Chief People Officer and truly shape our workforce capability
- Manageable Portfolio: Drive clinical and organizational training across just 3 close-knit NSW communities.
- Great Perks: Competitive salary, healthcare & banking discounts, and comprehensive EAP access.
Your Impact (Key Responsibilities)
- Clinical Capability Building: Design, deliver, and execute robust clinical training plans, competency assessments, and engaging education aligned with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards.
- Strategic Partnership: Collaboratively organise and execute training schedules tailored to the unique operational needs of each of our 3 homes.
- Best-Practice Advisory: Provide evidence-based guidance to Managers and Leaders on clinical risks, performance trends, and workforce development opportunities.
- Governance & Analytics: Oversee the tracking, auditing, and reporting of mandatory modules (including SIRS, Medication Management, and Restrictive Practices) using our LMS to proactively address skill gaps.
- Workforce & HR Education: Support the wider People & Culture strategy by driving core organisational onboarding, professional development, and general compliance education for all staff.
- Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse, without conditions or notations.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116 / TAE40122) or an equivalent higher educational qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in residential aged care, ideally in a hands-on clinical educator or mentoring capacity.
- A strong operational grasp of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (ACQSC) Standards, clinical governance, and AN-ACC frameworks.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the professional presence required to facilitate group training, advise site leaders, and mentor frontline staff alike.
- A valid Australian driver's licence and willingness to travel locally between our 3 NSW facilities.
- Unlimited work rights within Australia.
At Columbia, we believe our people are our biggest asset. We provide a values-driven, inclusive environment supported by an engaging leadership team. When you join us, you’ll enjoy:
- A highly competitive salary reflective of your leadership level.
