About the role
The Cardiac CNS's in Southland monitor, educate, treat and facilitate patients on their journey through the health system whether it be for heart failure, acute coronary syndrome or post cardiac intervention.
This is an autonomous role, supported by the Cardiology team in Dunedin and nursing leadership on site in Southland.
You will also promote quality nursing care through research-based practice and be responsible for patient care within your scope of practice and have a role in supporting service quality improvement initiatives. As you will be working in a multi-disciplinary team, educating, and sharing knowledge with patients and staff, outstanding relationship-building skills are essential.

About you
Our ideal candidate will:
- have the right to work in New Zealand and NZ Nursing Council APC
- be an experienced Registered Nurse with relevant post-graduate qualification working towards prescribing and/or Masters
- have level 4 PDRP (or working towards)
- have excellent communication and relationship building skills.
