Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced RN or LPN to serve as the Clinical Nurse Supervisor on our team! The ideal candidate will be a licensed professional with a passion for senior care, a strong background in supervision or management, and a deep commitment to promoting the well-being of seniors.


Full-time days; Flexible shifts (80 hours biweekly). Paid On Call Rotation - 1 week every 4-5 weeks.


Requirement: This position requires a graduate of an approved school of nursing and must be currently licensed as an RN in the state of Minnesota.


RN Responsibilities: This position is accountable for coordinating resident care and required documentation according to established policies, procedures and standard of practice. Must foster teamwork and contribute to the facility goals and mission.


The RN will also ensure that services are in compliance with current regulations and standards. Must be able to relate professionally with clients, staff and family members, display a positive work attitude and be able to work as a team with other staff members. This position requires a graduate of an approved school of nursing and must be currently licensed as a LPN in the state of Minnesota. Certificate in CPR and Heimlich is required. Experience in medical, surgical, mental health, or geriatric nursing is preferred and requires an understanding of the fundamentals of nursing practice and the ability to apply them to the geriatric setting. A willingness to perform direct care activities is necessary. Patience, tact, respect, courtesy, and kindness are required when dealing with residents, visitors, and other staff, as well as the ability to treat residents' information confidentially.


POSITION SPECIFICATIONS: Graduate from a school of nursing. Must be registered and licensed with the State of Minnesota as an RN and must maintain current unencumbered license with the Board of Nursing; Experience in working with older adults. Previous experience in a hospital, nursing home or home care agency preferred; Excellent judgment and decision-making abilities and problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently; Ability to use computers and electronic records; The ability to deal tactfully and use good communication and customer service skills with clients and their families; and Ability to demonstrate good judgment and observation skills.


OTHER REQUIREMENTS: Assures clients have up-to-date care plans that address their needs and preferences, including interventions to address any areas of vulnerability and individualized medication management or treatment or therapy management plans. Reassesses the client and modifies the service plan if necessary whenever the client has a fall or other incident, whenever there is a significant change in the client's condition or if the client or the client's representative requests a change in services; Responsible for educating clients and clients' representatives about advance directives, medications, safety of side rails or assistive devices, potential hazards in the home and other relevant information; Monitors and maintains client's clinical chart and clinical progress notes; and Communicates with physicians and other personnel (e.g., case manager or care coordinator) regarding changes in client's needs or conditions.
