About the Role
We have an excellent opportunity for a Senior Clinical Psychologist to join the Specialist Mental Health Service for Older People at Tauranga Hospital. The service provision covers the Eastern and Western Bay of Plenty Community and the In-Patient Unit at Tauranga Hospital.
The focus of the role is on both neuropsychological assessment and therapeutic intervention for older people presenting with mental health difficulties and/or age-related neurological disorder. This role will include neuropsychological assessment and designing psychological interventions for inpatients presenting with complex problems.
The psychologist will also provide neuropsychological assessment to the Memory Service which is facilitated under the MHSOP umbrella.
We are a multidisciplinary team composed of nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, psychiatrists, and psychologists. You will also be part of the bigger psychologist group employed by Health NZ – Bay of Plenty.
