Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Clinical Research Operations Assistant to support the day-to-day administrative and logistical functions of our clinical research team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values , and enjoys contributing to meaningful healthcare research. The Clinical Research Operations Assistant will work closely with Research Coordinators to facilitate the successful execution of clinical trials.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize, file, and maintain research documentation, including regulatory documents, consent forms, and study protocols.
  • Assist with the processing, packaging, and shipment of biological samples (e.g., blood, urine) in accordance with study guidelines and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with clinical staff and external vendors to ensure smooth sample handling and documentation flow.
  • Maintain accurate logs and tracking systems for sample shipments and document submissions.
  • Printing source documents to prepare for research visits, as well as printing laboratory reports and safety reports
  • Support data entry and basic reporting tasks related to study progress and compliance.
  • Make outbound calls to study participants for scheduling, follow-ups, and reminders.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with all regulatory and ethical standards.
  • Assist the Research Coordinators with other day-to-day tasks

Qualifications and Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in health sciences or administration is an asset.
  • Prior experience in a clinical, research, or healthcare setting preferred.
  • Ideally certified in GCP, TCPS2, Transportation of Dangerous Goods, Health Canada Division 5
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable handling biological samples (training provided).
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic data systems.

Work Environment

Medical office. Part-time 2 days a week (Wednesday and Friday 9-5)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 per week
