Role: Clinical Specialist Mammographer
Site: The Lister Hospital, London
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Shift Times: 7.5 hour shifts between the hours of 08:00am and 19:00pm
Contract Type: Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover For One Year)
Salary: Up to £54,500 dependent on skills and experience.
The Lister Hospital Campus is excited to be delivering exceptional care for our patients at our new Outpatients clinic dedicated to delivering Healthcare for Women. We are actively recruiting for a Clinical Specialist Mammographer on a one year fixed term contract to join our team at The Lister Hospital, currently rated “Outstanding” by the CQC.
The Lister Hospital, located in Chelsea has consistently provided care and treatment in London for over 30 years. We offer access to leading consultants from London's top teaching hospitals and contemporary treatment, with several highly specialised units including fertility, gastroenterology medicine and orthopaedics and surgery. With 60 beds across three floors, we offer a specialised service, bespoke to our patient’s needs. Our six-bed critical care unit provides dedicated specialised care to seriously ill patients with a range of surgical or medical conditions. In addition to this we have a 13 bedded acute medical unit. With satellite outpatient centres located in Chelsea, Battersea and Chiswick, we can offer a wide array of Imaging at all of our sites

The Breast Unit can deliver a range of breast exams and procedures with the majority of our examinations being part of a one-stop or triple assessment clinic. We also offer self-referrals for Mammography screening.
As a Specialist Mammographer, you’ll be joining our hard working Breast Unit team, being a team player, helping to keep the service running as efficiently as possible. We’ll look to you to undertake and perform all Mammography procedures including 2D and 3D Mammography, screening mammograms, interventional, procedures in breast and assisting in ultrasounds. You may also be required to rotate into another modality, depending on your experience, such as Plain Film, MRI or CT, to maintain your competence and help provide cover as and when required.
Key responsibilities:
Perform quality control functions related to mammography.
Undertake all administrative duties such as bookings and reporting involved in the Mammography service
Utilise and understand the PACS and DR/CR system.
Participate in symptomatic breast clinics
Carry out screening mammography
Assist with ultrasounds including procedures such as biopsies, aspirations, drainages, localisation
Perform stereotactic biopsies with consultant breast radiologists
Participate in late shifts for evening breast clinics.
Participate in the rotation of Mammographers to other sites associated with the facility namely Chiswick Medical Centre

What you’ll bring:
HCPC registration
Relevant post Graduate experience with a PGCert in Mammography/Breast Imaging
Mammography experience in the UK
In depth knowledge of processes and procedures in Mammography
Computer literate – intermediate to advanced level
