We are currently seeking a highly-motivated Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Motor Management to join our team in our Physical Disability Support Services Team at Enable Ireland Cork Services, Curraheen.
Contract Type: Permanent
Contract Hours: 17.5 hours per week
Salary Scale: €64,123 to €74,738 pro rata per annum. Salary scales are subject to LSI’s (Long Service Increments)
Annual Leave Entitlement: 33 days per annum pro rata
Overview of the Post:
The post holder will provide a high standard specialist physiotherapy service to support the CHO4 Children Disability Network Teams (CDNTs) and Primary Care Teams (PCTs) in terms of the motor management of children with a range of conditions resulting in physical disability (PDSS).

The successful candidate will have
Essential Criteria:
Statutory Registration, Professional Qualifications, Experience etc.
Candidates for appointment must:
- Hold a Physiotherapy qualification recognised by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
AND
- Be registered on the Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
AND
- Be employed as a Senior Physiotherapist for 5 years working within the area of Paediatric Physiotherapy.
AND
- All candidates must have a minimum of 5 years full time (or equivalent) post qualification clinical experience in the area of paediatric (0-18 years) physical disability.
AND
- All candidates must have a minimum of 4 consecutive years’ experience in motor management delivering services to include spasticity management, complex postural and seating assessment, 2 D Gait Analysis and services plans, casting, complex orthotics, orthopaedic clinics, neuromuscular clinics, hip and spinal surveillance.
Professional Development and Practice
- All candidates must demonstrate evidence of continuing professional development relevant to the required area of physical disability specialism.
- All candidates must demonstrate evidence of providing training relevant to the required area of physical disability specialism
- All candidates must demonstrate achievement in the areas of clinical audit, quality improvement initiatives, practice development and teaching.
- All candidates must have the requisite knowledge and ability (including a high standard of suitability, management, leadership and professional ability) for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
Annual Registration
- On appointment practitioners must maintain annual registration on Physiotherapists Register maintained by the Physiotherapists Registration Board at CORU.
AND
- Practitioners must confirm annual registration with CORU to Enable Ireland.
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience and/or training in clinical supervision.
- Group work
- Supervision of other staff and students
- Experience of delivering education and / conducting research
