The Rural, Regional and Remote Clinical Trial Enabling Program (R3-CTEP) aims to improve equity of access to clinical trials for patients living in rural, regional and remote communities. The R3-CTEP Clinical Trials Pharmacist will be responsible for the provision and coordination of pharmacy services that align to, and support the delivery of, the objectives of the R3-CTEP program at ISLHD. This will include development of Standard Operating Procedures and processes that support safe and compliant delivery of clinical trials of investigational medicinal products (IMP). The position will be expected to explore and implement new models of working in traditional and decentralised trial models of care that support patients in our Shoalhaven region to gain access to clinical trials.

A little about us.


Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital is the main referral hospital for the Shoalhaven region, providing emergency care, medical, surgical, mental health and orthopaedic services. The hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on ventilated, high dependency and coronary patients, Children’s Ward and Maternity Unit, as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre.


The hospital is currently undergoing a significant $440M redevelopment that will redefine how healthcare is delivered within the Region. Once complete in 2026, the new seven-storey Acute Services Building and refurbishments on the current hospital site will bring a focus on career development. allowing you to grow your career, acquire new skills and advance professionally as the hospital continues to develop. Within this redevelopment, a purpose-designed Mental Health Inpatient Unit will open for the first time at Shoalhaven Memorial Hospital, providing local consumers with access to comprehensive inpatient mental health care closer to home. This is a temporarily funded position until 27 June 2027 with the possibility of an extension subject to funding. Job-Share will be considered for this role.
