Job Overview:

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented, reliable, and organized Clinical/Clerical Medical Assistant to join our team. The Medical Assistant will provide administrative or clinical support in a medical setting, assisting with various clinical or clerical tasks to ensure smooth operations and excellent patient care. Bilingual Preferred, but not required.

Duties:

- Perform medical administrative/clinical support tasks, such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, coordinating referrals, insurance verification, patients vitals, and other duties as assigned.

- Assist with vaccination administration, including blood draw.

- Provide basic life support assistance when needed

- Utilize knowledge of physiology to accurately record vital signs

- Maintain patient documentation up-to-date

- Assist with obtaining authorization and referrals

- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA regulations

- Handle incoming calls and direct them appropriately

- Coordinate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care

- Perform general clerical duties, such as filing, faxing, and data entry

Skills:

- Proficient in medical terminology and understanding of office operations

- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation

- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

- Proficient in using computer systems and electronic medical records software

Requirements:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certification or training in medical assisting preferred

- Previous experience in a clerical or clinical role, preferably in a healthcare setting

- Knowledge of basic life support procedures
