About the Role:
Curtin University is pleased to announce multiple continuing full-time (1.0 FTE) positions for Clinics Program Coordinators. This role will be crucial in planning, coordinating, and managing the operations of various activities that support key initiatives and objectives across several student-led clinics operated by the Faculty of Health Sciences.
There are 2 continuing full-time (1.0 FTE) positions available at 2 separate locations
- Challis Primary School (Armadale)
- Cockburn Integrated Health (Cockburn)
The Clinics Program Coordinator will play a crucial role in ensuring that the Curtin students on placement receive high-quality and safe learning experiences while delivering health and social services. The ideal candidate will be committed to continuous improvement, client service, and achieving positive outcomes.
Availability during clinic hours, from 8 am to 4 pm, Monday to Friday, is required, with the need to work flexibly across the Clinics as needed.
Your responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):
- Oversee the implementation and review of processes to enhance student learning in a clinical environment while ensuring quality health and social services.
- Liaise with stakeholders to promote the program, ensuring optimal outcomes and effective communication.
- Provide leadership and guidance to clinics staff, manage administrative support, and build strong internal and external relationships.
- Report on clinic and student activities and support the delivery of the Curtin Clinics program across multiple sites as needed.
- A professional qualification in a relevant Health Sciences discipline with considerable experience in a university and/or health care environment; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and /or education/training.
- Proven expertise in curriculum and assessment software, providing guidance for effective implementation.
- Strong project management skills, with a track record of coordinating plans to achieve objectives.
- Skilled in data analysis and reporting, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Effective stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills, facilitating collaboration at all levels.
- Demonstrated decision-making and problem-solving capabilities.
- Previous experience in a tertiary environment.
- Recent practice coordination, or practice management experience.
- As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered.
- Successful applicants are subject to a National Police Clearance, and background, integrity, and reference checks to Curtin’s satisfaction.
- This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check.
- A level of fitness commensurate with the position.
- Ability to work outside of normal office hours when required.
