The Role
The Caterpillar International Learning Academy is looking for a reliable, high-energy Closing Manager to lead our afternoon operations. You are the final point of contact for our families and the steady hand that ensures our students return safely from school and transition home happily. This is a vital leadership role perfect for someone who thrives on organization and community building.
Key Responsibilities
- Safe Transportation: Lead our after-school pickup program by driving the school vehicle to nearby elementary schools and ensuring the safe, accounted-for transport of students back to the Academy.
- School Leadership: Oversee the "closing" phase of the day, ensuring classrooms are tidy, staff are supported, and the building is secure.
- Parent Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact during pickup. You will provide daily updates to parents, answer questions, and ensure that every child is signed out in accordance with safety protocols.
- Field Trip Support: Act as a flexible lead for special events, including riding along or driving for morning field trips as needed.
- Operational Excellence: Manage the late-afternoon flow, ensuring that even if a parent is running late, the environment remains calm and professional.
Requirements
- Clean Driving Record: A valid Driver’s License and a spotless driving history are non-negotiable for the safety of our children.
- Leadership Experience: Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within a childcare or educational setting.
- Reliability: You are the "anchor" of our afternoons. Exceptional attendance is required to provide consistency for our families.
- Communication Skills: Ability to handle high-traffic pickup times with grace, professionalism, and a smile.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ability to pass all state-mandated background checks and meet Child Care Licensing requirements.
