We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Closure Study Manager to lead and grow our closure consulting capability across domestic and international markets.

About the Role

The Closure Study Manager plays a key role in driving business growth by overseeing the end-to-end delivery of closure consulting services. This role is responsible for securing new study opportunities, managing client relationships, and ensuring the successful execution of high-quality consulting outcomes.

You will lead the development of proposals, cost estimates, and technical studies, while guiding a high-performing team to deliver work that strengthens Liberty Industrial’s reputation and builds a strong pipeline of future projects.

Description:
Key Responsibilities

Identify, pursue and secure closure consulting opportunities, contributing to sustained revenue growth and market expansion.
Develop proposals, cost estimates and study deliverables, ensuring accuracy, quality and alignment with client expectations.
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of closure studies and consulting projects, ensuring timelines, budgets and contractual obligations are met.
Build and maintain strong client relationships, positioning Liberty Industrial as a trusted and technically strong partner.
Lead, develop and mentor the Closure Study team, driving accountability, performance and professional growth.
Manage the financial performance of the business unit, including budgets, pipeline management and achievement of growth targets.
Establish and optimise processes, structures and resources to maximise team output and commercial outcomes.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to deliver integrated, high-quality study outcomes.
Ensure compliance with safety, quality and governance standards, maintaining Liberty Industrial’s commitment to operational excellence.

About You

You bring a proactive, commercially driven approach to identifying opportunities, building client relationships and converting work into revenue. You operate with pace and sound judgement, balancing strategic thinking with practical execution to deliver results.

A confident communicator and influencer, you engage stakeholders across all levels, drive alignment in complex environments, and take accountability for delivering high-quality outcomes through your team.

You will bring:
Proven experience in closure consulting, with a proactive, results-oriented approach to identifying, pursuing and securing consulting opportunities.
Strong client relationship management experience, with the ability to influence stakeholders and build long-term, trusted partnerships.
Demonstrated capability to structure and optimise consulting teams, processes and outputs to drive efficiency, scalability and revenue growth.
Experience leading cross-functional projects from concept through to delivery, applying sound judgement to manage risk, competing priorities and timelines.
A strategic mindset with the ability to align delivery with broader business objectives while maintaining pace and focus.
Strong commercial acumen, including experience managing budgets, pipelines or P&L performance and delivering against growth targets.
Analytical and solutions-focused thinking, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and develop practical, effective outcomes.
Background in heavy industry sectors such as energy, oil & gas, mining or similar.
Sound understanding of governance, compliance and quality requirements within a consulting or project environment.
Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Business or a related field (MBA highly regarded).
