Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Operator & Grinder Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC lathe's Mazak Quick turn & Hass SL30 along with a manual Lathe & milling machine, ensuring precision and quality in all machined parts. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with CNC programming, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Understanding of GD&T. The position offers an engaging environment where safety, efficiency, and craftsmanship are prioritized.

Grinding, The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining. The following, Jig Grinding, Surface Grinders & OD & ID Grinding machines.

Duties

• The CNC Lathe & Grinding machinist’s responsibility is to manufacture parts by programing, setting up, and operating both CNC & Grinding machines along with manual machines. They will maintain quality and safety standards by keeping and maintaining records and supplies.
• Plans machining by studying work orders, blueprints, engineering plans, materials, specifications, orthographic drawings, reference planes, surface locations, and machining parameters.
• Interprets geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T).
• Programs lathes by entering instructions, including zero and reference points, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and conditional switches, calculating requirements by using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry skills, and proving part programs.
• Sets up lathes by installing and adjusting three- and four-jaw chucks, tools, attachments, collets, bushings, cams, gears, stops, and stock pushers,
• Loads feed mechanism by lifting stock into position.
• Verifies settings by measuring positions, first-run parts, and sample workpieces by adhering to international standards.
• Maintains specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling, and thread chasing operations. Take measurements, detect malfunctions, troubleshoot processes, adjusts and reprograms controls, and sharpens and replaces worn tools.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements and following the manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
• Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
• Manufactures rush machine parts and assists assembly with machining capabilities.
• Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
• Reports to Manufacturing Supervisor and assists assembly when there are no manufacturing needs.
• Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ESA and our company handbook standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ESA and our company handbook.
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone.
• Must be available to work weekends and evenings if required.
• Must be able to carry 50lbs.

Pay: $22.00-$28.00 per hour
