CNC lathe programmer & operator
· Maintain a clean and organized workbench and toolroom.
· Make sample parts.
· Make equipment recommendations.
· Suggest changes to Tool Changeover Book to Design Engineer.
· Contribute in other areas of tooling development, quality, and manufacturing.
· Continuously improve processes.
· Take part in LEAN projects as assigned.
· Inspect parts as part of quality program
· Full-time non-exempt
Qualifications
· Skills
· Setup, operate, and maintain the high volume lathe area
· Use, read, understand, and apply the operation of precision measuring instruments like micrometers, Vernier calipers, dial indicators, comparators, gauges, and others to make and verify measurements.
· Read engineering drawings and be able to machine parts accurately to dimensions, tolerances, and finish specifications.
· Speak, read, and write English fluently
· Experience
· Abile software
· Fanuc user interface
· CNC and Swiss lathe operation and programming
· Extensive knowledge of G-code (writing and reading)
· Education
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Special demands and physical requirements
· Move tools on and off bench
· Take tools apart using an overhead hoist
· Fine motor skills
· Sit for a long period of time
· Stand for a long period of time
· Tolerate a loud environment
