Introduction:
Day & Night Shifts Available

Levett Engineering are a well-established precision engineering company supplying high-quality components to the aerospace sector. Due to continued growth, we are currently recruiting CNC Lathe Setters for both day and night shifts at our modern manufacturing facility in Elizabeth South.

The Role

You will be responsible for setting CNC lathes to produce tight-tolerance aerospace components in a quality-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

Set and prove out CNC lathes for production runs
Load tooling, set offsets, and make program adjustments as required
Interpret engineering drawings, tolerances, and specifications
Produce components to aerospace quality standards (AS9100)
Carry out first-off and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment
Work closely with programmers, inspectors, and production teams
Maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, and quality

Skills & Experience

Trade qualification – Cert III in Machining or equivalent
Proven experience as a CNC Lathe Setter in a precision engineering environment
Aerospace experience preferred, though other tight tolerance industries will be considered
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and GD&T
Confident in using measuring equipment inc. micrometers, verniers, bore gauges, etc.
Experience with Mori Seiki or Okuma machines would be a strong advantage
Reliable, detail-oriented, and quality focused
Comfortable working independently on shift
