Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist Lathe to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will operate CNC lathes, primarily Fanuc-controlled machines, to produce precision components according to specifications. This role requires strong mechanical knowledge, proficiency in CNC programming, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints. The CNC Machinist Lathe will play a vital part in ensuring high-quality production while maintaining safety and efficiency standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathe machines, primarily Fanuc-controlled systems, to produce complex parts.
• Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD models using SolidWorks and other CAD software.
• Write or modify CNC programs to optimize machining processes and improve productivity.
• Use precision measuring tools such as calipers to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet specifications.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and calibration of CNC equipment.
• Select appropriate hand tools, power tools, and machining accessories for various tasks.
• Follow lean manufacturing principles to minimize waste and improve workflow efficiency.
• Assist with assembly processes and welding when necessary to complete finished products.
• Operate forklifts safely for material handling within the manufacturing environment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• This is NOT an entry level position.
• We are looking for someone with experience with machining parts and taking them from the planning and tooling stage to finished parts. Your experience should reflect this.
• Proven experience with CNC lathe operations, especially Fanuc controls; familiarity with CNC milling machines is a plus
• Strong mechanical knowledge with understanding of machining processes and blueprint reading skills.
• Proficiency in CNC G-code programming and editing existing programs for efficiency and accuracy. CAM experience is not necessary.
• Experience with Fusion 360 or other CAD software for interpreting design files.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to machining tolerances.
• Ability to use precision measuring instruments such as calipers accurately.
• Knowledge of manufacturing best practices, lean manufacturing principles, and safety standards.
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly processes is desirable.
• Valid forklift certification or experience operating forklifts is preferred.This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment where technical skills are valued and developed further through ongoing training and hands-on experience.

Pay: $35.00 per hour
