Job Overview

We're looking for an experienced CNC Machinist (Mill or Lathe) to join a growing manufacturing team. If you enjoy setting up machines, machining precision components, troubleshooting production challenges, and seeing your work come to life, we'd love to hear from you.

This is an opportunity for a skilled machinist who can work independently, produce high-quality parts, and contribute to a team focused on craftsmanship, safety, and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate, and adjust CNC mills, lathes, and other machining equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions
  • Determine machine setup requirements, tooling, fixtures, and machining sequences
  • Make machine offsets and edit existing CNC programs as needed
  • Select and install cutting tools, workholding, and fixtures
  • Verify first-piece and in-process inspections using precision measuring equipment
  • Produce parts that meet dimensional and quality specifications
  • Monitor machining operations and make adjustments to maintain quality
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and work with engineering or production teams to resolve problems
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 5+ years of CNC machining experience
  • Experience setting up and operating CNC mills, lathes, or similar machining equipment
  • Ability to edit existing CNC programs and make machine offsets
  • Strong blueprint reading skills
  • Experience working with tight tolerances and precision machining
  • Proficiency using measuring tools such as:
  • Micrometers
  • Depth micrometers
  • Height gauges
  • Calipers
  • Gauge blocks
  • Experience machining steel, stainless steel, or tool steel is preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently while maintaining quality and productivity

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience machining stainless steel and tool steel alloys
  • Ability to identify and resolve machining or tooling issues
  • Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, tooling selection, and machining processes

Physical Requirements

  • Regularly lift up to 50 pounds
  • Stand for extended periods
  • Bend, kneel, climb, and work around manufacturing equipment
  • Willingness to work overtime, including occasional weekends, when production demands require

Pay: $27.00 - $35.00 per hour
