Job Description
Are you a detail-oriented, hands-on problem solver with strong mechanical curiosity? Avery Dennison is seeking a dependable Coating Machine Operator to own machine setups, monitor technical processes, and drive high-quality production results.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):
Operate & Troubleshoot: Lead machine setups, changeovers, and asset operations (including unwinds, dies, and winders). Monitor gauges, valves, and temperatures to ensure process specifications are met.
Ensure Quality: Periodically test product characteristics using standard measuring tools, proactively troubleshooting equipment abnormalities.
Collaborate & Track: Partner with teammates to meet daily production goals, participate in continuous improvement (5S/ELS) processes, and enter accurate transaction records into our digital tracking systems.
Prioritize Safety: Keep a clean, organized work area and wear required PPE, serving as a safety leader on the floor.
Qualifications
What You Bring (Qualifications):
Education & Experience: High School Diploma/GED OR 3+ years of manufacturing experience. (Preferred: 2+ years of experience in a skilled labor role with demonstrated mechanical aptitude).
Technical Aptitude: Comfort learning complex machine operations and investigating root causes of equipment issues.
Computer Skills: Basic computer literacy and proficiency with inventory or transactional software.
Key Attributes: Strong reliability, accountability, and attention to detail during long or repetitive shifts.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs periodically throughout the shift.
Schedule & Pay:
Shift: Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) on a 2-2-3 rotating schedule
Pay Rate: $25.09/hr plus $2/hr shift differential
