Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Coding Teacher to inspire students in developing essential programming skills. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in coding and education, with the ability to create engaging lessons that foster a love for technology and problem-solving. Duties
- Design and deliver engaging coding lessons tailored to various age groups and skill levels
- Develop curriculum materials, exercises, and projects that promote hands-on learning
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and assessments, providing constructive feedback
- Foster an inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking
- Incorporate real-world applications of coding to enhance student understanding and interest
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching strategies and curriculum content
- Maintain classroom discipline and ensure a safe, productive learning atmosphere
Skills
- Proven classroom experience teaching coding or related technology subjects
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or JavaScript
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly
- Passion for education and inspiring students to pursue technology careers
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and adapt teaching methods to diverse learners
- Organizational skills to manage classroom activities effectively
- A collaborative mindset with the ability to work well with students, parents, and colleagues
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
Work Location: In person
