To stay ahead of the coffee trends, we work with champion baristas for training, and do our best to serve to coffee lovers.
Job Description:
As a Coffee Barista, you'll play a pivotal role in creating delightful experiences for our customers by crafting exceptional coffee beverages. Your primary responsibilities include:
- Drink Preparation: Expertly preparing various types of coffee and non-coffee beverages according to recipes and customer preferences. This includes espresso-based drinks, pour-over coffee, French press, other specialty brews, and non coffee drinks such as tea and fruit juices.
- Customer Service: Providing friendly, efficient, and personalized service to customers. Engaging with patrons to understand their preferences and recommend suitable coffee options.
- Beverage Customization: Tailoring coffee orders to meet specific customer requests, such as adjusting sweetness levels, milk alternatives, and flavorings.
- Equipment Maintenance: Operating and maintaining coffee equipment, including espresso machines, grinders, brewers, and other tools. Ensuring equipment cleanliness and functionality.
- Quality Assurance: Upholding high standards of quality in every aspect of coffee preparation, including coffee bean selection, grinding, tamping, and extraction. Monitoring product freshness and ensuring consistency in taste and presentation.
- Cleanliness and Organization: Maintaining cleanliness and organization in the coffee bar area, including workstations, serving counters, and dining areas. Adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Inventory Management: Monitoring coffee and supplies inventory levels and informing management when restocking is needed. Assisting with receiving, storing, and rotating stock as necessary.
- Team Collaboration: Working collaboratively with other team members, including fellow baristas, kitchen staff, and management, to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer experiences.
- Upselling and Promotion: Recommending additional menu items, such as pastries, snacks, or merchandise, to increase sales and enhance the overall customer experience.
- Continuous Learning: Staying informed about coffee industry trends, new brewing techniques, and specialty coffee varieties. Participating in training sessions and workshops to improve coffee knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
- Prior experience as a barista or in a similar customer service role preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality coffee experiences.
- Available to work flexible hours that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends, nights and/or public holidays
