Commercial Appliance Service, LLC (CAS) has an opportunity as Collections Specialist. Based in Sacramento, CAS is a division of the Unlimited Service Group, North America’s most innovative provider of parts & service for the commercial food equipment industry.

Pay range: $25.00-$30.00

The Collections Specialist works closely with a portfolio of our valued customers to ensure payments are made within terms and follows up when payments are past due. The ideal candidate would conduct account research/reconciliations, resolving customer billing problems, secure payment on open invoices all while having the ability to build strong relationships with customers. A passion for delighting both internal and external customers is crucial for success in this role.

A Typical Day

Engage with our valued customers by phone and email to collect on payments owed.
Perform account and bank reconciliations as needed to ensure accounting records are aligned.
Maintain strong internal and external customer relations and follow up on any necessary information needed to obtain payment.
Achieve monthly AR percentage goals.
Identify and negotiate approved payment arrangements on past due balances while maintaining a strong customer relationship.
Review orders on hold for release.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

2-5 years of experience in a collection, accounts receivable, or customer-facing type of role
Experience in handling a large volume small dollar portfolio with outbound call goals.
Must be self-motivated, customer-centric, and highly organized.
Experience reconciling AR accounts a plus.
Ability to function effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
Self-motivated, goal-oriented, with a proven ability to learn quickly and work effectively in a fast-paced work environment.
Experience with Global Edge or other ERP software a plus.
Must successfully complete a drug screen.
