Overview of role:
The Commercial Analyst, part of the Commercial Services team in Coliban Water’s Corporate & Assurance department, supports data-driven decision-making by analysing financial and operational data, developing commercial insights, and identifying improvement opportunities within the Oracle system. The role contributes to accurate reporting, robust commercial assessments, and continuous improvement in system-driven processes to support the organisation’s strategic and financial objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
As our Commercial Analyst, you’ll be accountable for:
- Assist with implementation, configuration, and optimisation of the Oracle platform, ensuring it meets business and commercial objectives.
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows, driving efficiency, accuracy, and automation within commercial operations.
- Work with internal teams to understand reporting needs, providing guidance and support for effective use of Oracle.
- Oversee requisitions, supplier onboarding, compliance, and alignment with internal policies, governance, and organisational standards.
- Analyse commercial, financial, and market data to deliver insights, risk assessments, and reports that inform decision-making and drive operational efficiency.
- Bachelor’s degree in commerce, Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Relevant certifications in data analysis, commercial management, or procurement (e.g., Certificate IV in Procurement and Contracting or equivalent) are highly regarded.
- Training or certification in Oracle Commercial Management or other ERP systems is strongly desirable

Salary:
The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 4 $93,548 - $112,895 + Superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience. This role is a Fulltime Ongoing position.
