Wells Plumbing and Heating Supplies has been a distributor of plumbing fittings, water heaters, boilers, and other related accessories in the Chicagoland area since 2002.

Job Summary
We're looking for a CDL Truck Driver to deliver our products within the Chicagoland area and neighboring suburbs.

Duties

• Safely operate our company truck and van.
• Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts.
• Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, delivery records, and vehicle inspections in compliance with federal and state regulations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to identify mechanical issues or safety hazards before and after each trip.
• Route driving to optimize delivery schedules while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards.
• Communicate effectively with customers and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.

Skills

• Previous experience in truck driving and a valid CDL license.
• Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, compliance, and efficient route management.
• Experience with load & unloading vehicles and managing freight securely during transit.
• Familiarity with route planning software or GPS systems for effective route driving.
• Good communication skills to coordinate deliveries and report any issues or incidents.
• (Preferred) Experience using sit down forklifts.

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour
