Green Works Contracting is a multi-service and season landscaping and maintenance company in the nation’s capital focused on providing quality service. We are currently seeking Plow Truck with Salter Operators for the Winter season!

*** SEEKING FULL TIME ON-CALL & SPARE OPERATORS. ***

Schedule:

• This is a seasonal position from approximately November 1, 2025 until April 15, 2026. (Summer landscaping work available after the winter season.)
• Shifts are on an on-call basis and hours vary depending on the weather (8-16 hour shifts).
• You MUST be available 24/7, including weekends and holidays, and be able to respond to dispatch on short notice.
• Hourly pay, no guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities:

• Clearing snow/ice from commercial sites and parking lots using plow truck with a salter attachment
• Applying ice melt or salt to prevent slippery conditions.
• Safely operating snow removal equipment and following all safety guidelines.
• Ensuring that all areas are properly cleared and free of snow and ice.
• Inspecting equipment and reporting any maintenance or repair needs.
• Communicating with supervisors or team members to coordinate snow removal efforts.

Requirements:

• Must be available 24/7, Saturday to Sunday.
• Must have a cell phone with minutes and data.
• Must have reliable transportation to get to our shop.
• Comfortable driving in all road conditions
• Must hold a valid G Class drivers licence and clean abstract.
• Must have a minimum or 2 seasons of experience operating a pick up truck plow with salter attachment.
• Ability to work in cold and potentially hazardous weather conditions.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy loads (minimum 50lb).
• Ability to read and interpret work orders and instructions.
• Can work independently and as a team.

Notes:

• Pay is based skill, experience, reliability and position offered.
• You can expect large commercial and/or municipal sites for winter plowing operations.
• Please note that this position is seasonal and dependent on weather conditions. Optional summer landscaping positions available post winter season.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 – 60 per week

Licence/Certification:

• Class G Licence (preferred)
• AZ / DZ (preferred)
