Commissionaire

The Merrion, one of Dublin's finest luxury hotels, a member of the Leading Hotels of the World, and now certified a Great Place to Work, is recruiting for full time Commissionaire to join our professional and friendly Front of House Concierge Team.

The Role

We are looking for a service driven individual to join our five star Team. This is a fantastic opportunity to either begin or continue your career in one of the Leading Hotels of the World. Working with a professional and welcoming Team you will be part of creating Merrion Moments for our guests and colleagues with your main duties including to:

• Greeting all guests to the hotel.
• Help guest with storage, delivery and collection of luggage.
• Assist in welcoming and directing attendees for on-site events or conferences.
• Deliver newspapers, messages and errands to guest bedrooms.
• Safely dispatch guests vehicles to and from the Hotel car park.
• Provide direction and assistance to hotel guests as requested.
• Assist in managing building access, ensuring only authorized individuals enter.
• Keep front of house and back of house areas neat and tidy.
• Deal with chauffeur and taxi drivers, tour guides and couriers and keeping the front of the hotel organised.
• Park & retrieve guests' vehicles.
• Stay informed about building policies, procedures, and facilities to answer queries confidently.

The successful candidate will:

• Have previous experience in a 4 or 5* hotel in the Front Office or Concierge Department.
• Have the drive and talent to grow within our dynamic and service driven environment
• Have excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Be knowledgeable about Dublin city and surrounding areas.
• Have previous guest service experience.
• Work well in a team.
• Enjoy guest contact and communicate confidently with them
• Demonstrate excellent organisational skills.
• Have a genuine passion for service excellence.
• Be computer literate and have knowledge of Opera or equivalent.

Shift work & flexibility are required for this position.
