Commissioning Manager – ICT & BMS - Europe

Ross Engineering's Commissioning (CX) Division supports major data centre and mission-critical projects across Ireland and EMEA. The team delivers end-to-end commissioning services across electrical, mechanical, ICT and building management disciplines, working in close partnership with contractors and clients to ensure critical infrastructure is delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards.

As part of our ongoing project delivery and expanding portfolio, we are seeking an experienced and motivated On-Site Cx Lead with a strong ICT and BMS background to join our team. This role is ideal for a technically strong, detail-driven professional who excels in managing complex control and monitoring systems and leading multi-disciplinary teams.

As Commissioning Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

• Leading commissioning for new data centre projects and system upgrades, with particular focus on ICT infrastructure and BMS integration
• Managing the full commissioning lifecycle for BMS, DCIM, and structured cabling/ICT systems — from planning through execution to handover
• Overseeing integration testing between BMS and critical M&E plant, including controls, alarms, and monitoring points
• Coordinating schedules, budgets, inspections, and documentation across ICT and BMS workstreams
• Acting as the main point of contact for clients, contractors, and engineers on ICT/BMS commissioning matters
• Ensuring project deliverables are met on time, within scope, and to high-quality standards
• Developing and mentoring commissioning team members
• Reporting on commissioning progress and performance metrics
• Supporting training and smooth handover to operations teams, including BMS graphics, points lists, and system documentation

Commissioning Manager Ideal Background:

• 5+ years' experience in commissioning or related roles, ideally within data centres or mission-critical environments, with hands-on ICT and/or BMS commissioning experience
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronic, Controls Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• Strong working knowledge of BMS platforms (e.g. Niagara, Trend, Schneider, Siemens or similar) and integration protocols (BACnet, Modbus)
• Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination
• Proven ability to lead teams and resolve complex technical challenges across ICT and controls systems
• Flexibility to travel as required
