About the Role:
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Committee Services Officer to support our efficient corporate governance practices across our organisation. In this critical role, you will provide high-quality secretariat, operational, and administrative support to the University’s high-level committees. Working under general direction, you will play a central role in ensuring the effective planning and delivery of committee services within our established governance frameworks.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinate all aspects of designated committee meetings including preparing agendas, distributing meeting papers, and preparing minutes.
- Monitoring and following up on action items post-meetings
- Provide clear procedural advice to Chairs and members in line with committee constitutions and governance documents.
- Prepare briefing papers and reports to support committee deliberations.
- Collaborate with the Administrative Officer to confirm meeting logistics.
- Support the induction process for new committee members.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and compliant records of committee activities and documentation.
- Experience supporting corporate governance frameworks.
- Strong minute-taking, time management, and organisational skills.
- Previous experience providing high-level secretariat support to committees.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills—both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and research capabilities.
- The ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- A collaborative approach to working within a team and with senior stakeholders.
- A strong commitment to confidentiality and compliance with policy and procedure.
- Proficiency in managing committee operations in a complex organisation.
Experience in a higher education institution or other large, complex organisation.
Role Requirements:As this is a continuing (permanent) role, you will require permanent work rights in Australia to be considered

This continuing G06 level role attracts a remuneration of $96,323 - $102,186 plus 17% superannuation and competitive benefits.
