The Communication & Ministry Coordinator serves as the organizational hub of Crossroads of Life Church, helping ensure that people, ministries, information, and resources stay connected.

This individual creates and manages the systems and communication pathways that allow ministry leaders, volunteers, staff, and our congregation to work together effectively. Rather than simply completing administrative tasks, this role helps transform vision into action by coordinating communication, strengthening organization, supporting ministry leaders, and creating an environment where people are informed, equipped, and connected.

Communications and Ministry Coordinator Job Description

Approximately 15 hours per week

Salary: TBD

Office hours – TBD

Reports to: Pastor

Purpose: The Communications & Ministry Coordinator serves as the organizational hub of Crossroads of Life Church, helping ensure that people, ministries, information, and resources stay connected.

Areas of Responsibility

1. Communication Leadership

Responsible for maintaining clear, timely, and consistent communication throughout the church.

Examples:

· Coordinate internal communication among staff and ministry leaders.

· Oversee church-wide digital communication.

· Manage church email communications.

· Coordinate website updates.

· Coordinate social media communication.

· Develop communication timelines for events.

· Ensure announcements remain accurate across every communication platform.

2. Ministry Coordination

Responsible for helping ministry teams stay organized.

Examples

· Coordinate calendars.

· Maintain facility scheduling.

· Assist ministry leaders.

· Manage ministry information.

· Coordinate volunteer communication.

· Assist with curriculum ordering.

· Support ministry events.

3. Guest Experience & Congregational Care

Responsibilities might include:

· Coordinate first-time guest follow-up.

· Maintain visitor information.

· Coordinate prayer request distribution.

· Assist with member communication.

· Support assimilation processes.

· Help ensure people "don't fall through the cracks."

4. Administrative Systems

Responsibilities might include:

· Maintain church records.

· Coordinate office operations.

· Maintain digital filing systems.

· Assist with purchasing.

· Organize ministry resources.

· Maintain tenant documentation.

5. Sunday Ministry Support

Responsibilities might include:

· Coordinate weekly communication materials.

· Prepare worship announcement media.

· Support Planning Center systems.

· Prepare printed ministry resources.

· Assist ministries with Sunday logistics.

6. Strategic Ministry Support

Responsibilities might include:

· Help implement organizational systems.

· Assist staff in tracking ministry initiatives.

· Coordinate planning meetings.

· Help ministry leaders execute action items.

· Recommend improvements to communication and administrative processes.

Pay: $12.50 - $15.00 per hour
