Introduction:
Disaster Relief Australia is seeking a Communications Associate to support internal communications, volunteer engagement and social media coordination.

Working closely with the DRRT Associate Director (AD) and 2IC across NSW South, this role helps ensure DRRT activities, training opportunities and engagement initiatives are effectively promoted and celebrated across internal platforms.
This is a max term contract until 30 June 2026 - Part time 10hrs a week

Description:
Key Responsibilities

• Promote upcoming DRRT activities across internal social platforms and WhatsApp groups
• Share highlights, imagery and volunteer recognition from completed activities
• Create engaging posts, updates and polls to strengthen volunteer engagement
• Support the monthly DRRT newsletter and welcome communications
• Liaise with MarComms to ensure brand and messaging alignment
• As available, capture content during DRRT activities

Skills and Experiences:
About You

• Strong written communication skills
• Comfortable creating engaging content
• Experience with social media / group communications
• Organised, proactive and collaborative
• Passionate about volunteer engagement and DRRT culture

Working Arrangements

• 10 hours per week (flexible)
• Mostly remote / online
• Meeting or activity attendance when needed
