Communication and Marketing Specialist
TAV College is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Communications and Marketing Specialist to lead the development and execution of integrated marketing, communications, and student recruitment initiatives. The incumbent will play a key role in enhancing the College’s brand visibility, supporting student engagement, and driving recruitment through strategic planning and hands-on campaign execution. The position combines strategic responsibilities with operational delivery across digital marketing, public relations, events, and institutional communications.
Job duties
Marketing Strategy and Digital Marketing
● Develop, implement, and continuously optimize integrated digital marketing strategies to promote college-level programs, student recruitment initiatives, college activities and services, and institutional branding.
● Develop and optimize digital advertising campaigns: performance data, audience insights, emerging marketing and communication trends, etc. (Google Ads, Meta Ads-Facebook and Instagram, and TikTok Ads).
● Develop and manage the College’s organic social media strategy (Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok) and content (Canva and CapCut).
● Conduct search engine optimization (SEO) research using tools such as SEMrush, (keyword analysis, competitive benchmarking, site audits, and on-page optimization).
● Manage and maintain the College website (WordPress, Divi Builder, HTML and CSS).
● Enhance and interpret website traffic and marketing campaign performance (Google Analytics and related platforms).
● Design and produce promotional material: viewbooks, banners, brochures, digital graphics, and branded merchandise (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Canva).
Communication: Institutional and Outreach
● Develop, design, and execute targeted email marketing campaigns and institutional newsletters, geared toward high school students and mature students (Mailchimp, GMass, or similar email marketing tools).
● Communicate and maintain relationships with external partners to secure invitations and registrations (college-level partners, high school guidance counsellors, etc.).
● Manage event promotion and pre-event communications, coordinating announcements, email invitations, digital promotions, and outreach initiatives.
College Representation and Engagement
● Represent the College at recruitment events, outreach initiatives, and community engagement activities to promote college-level programs, institutional services, and student opportunities.
● Plan, coordinate, and execute college and recruitment events: Graduation ceremonies, Open Houses, recruitment fairs, and student engagement activities (TAV College Student Association, student clubs, campus activities, etc.).
● Coordinate and organize the College’s participation in recruitment outreach events (high school visits, recruitment fairs, community engagement activities, etc.)
● Organize required resources (promotional materials, signage, equipment, and branded merchandise).
● Capture, document, and edit photography for internal and external institutional events for use in marketing campaigns, institutional communications, and graduation ceremony (Adobe Lightroom).
Qualifications and Requirements
● Bachelor’s degree, AEC (Attestation of College Studies), or College Diploma (DEC) in Communications, Marketing, Digital Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
● Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant professional experience in a college-level institution in digital marketing, communications, and event coordination.
● Demonstrated experience managing digital marketing campaigns, including SEO/SEM strategies and paid advertising campaigns (Google Ads, Meta Ads, and TikTok Ads).
● Proficiency in WordPress and Divi Builder, with working knowledge of HTML and CSS for website.
● Strong experience with producing digital and print marketing materials using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Lightroom), Canva, and video or CapCut.
● Experience using analytics and marketing performance tools (Google Analytics and SEMrush).
● Experience developing and managing email marketing campaigns and newsletters, including audience segmentation, campaign scheduling, and performance tracking (Mailchimp, GMass, or similar tools).
● Strong knowledge of major social media platforms and platform algorithms, and engagement strategies (Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok).
● Experience applying best practices when using AI-powered tools such as ChatGPT, Canva AI, and similar platforms to assist with content development, marketing workflows, campaign optimization, and productivity
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Beginner to intermediate French language proficiency.
● Strong project management, organizational, and event coordination skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines, and cross-departmental collaborations effectively.

Pay: $64,000.00 per year
