About The Position
Position Location: Port Augusta
Position Status: Full Time - Contract to 30th June 2026
Closing Date for Applications: 17th September 2025
The objective of Communities for Children is to improve the quality of life for families and children in Port Augusta by utilising the strengths of the individual and the communities in which they live.
As the Community Development Worker, you will provide project support and development to the Communities for Children initiative, by assisting with activities and supporting Community and Service Partners to deliver their agreed services to the community.
The position supports community initiatives that improve service accessibility, responsiveness and outcomes for vulnerable and disadvantaged families.

Skills and Experiences:
You will:
- Enjoy working in a community setting.
- Have the ability to connect with families, children and services.
- Support activities and community events.
- Have an understanding of the Port Augusta community.
- Have demonstrated skills in data entry and Excel.
- Current Australian Drivers Licence.
- Experience in early childhood and/or community development.
- Experience in program development and administration.
