$79,701 - $92,744 per annum (pro rata to be applied) plus Super
The Community Education and Programs Officer works with the Children, Young People and Families team to ensure the provision of the community programs at Kew Traffic School.
This is an exciting 12-month opportunity covering Parental Leave.
A little bit about the role
As the Community Education and Programs Officer, you will be an integral part of the Children, Young People and Families team, ensuring the successful delivery of community programs at Kew Traffic School. Your primary responsibility will be to deliver road safety education sessions to early childhood and primary school students, focusing on their roles as cyclists, pedestrians, and passengers. Additionally, you will promote and support various community programs, including community safety month celebrations, school holiday programs, public ride sessions, and private centre bookings.
A little bit about you
You are enthusiastic about community education and passionate about promoting road safety among children. Your experience in delivering educational programs, coupled with your ability to engage with young audiences, makes you an ideal candidate for this role. You are a strong communicator, capable of working collaboratively with colleagues and external stakeholders to achieve common goals.
In this role, you will deliver a comprehensive safety education program tailored for early childhood and primary school-aged children. You will oversee public ride sessions for children aged two to ten years old, ensuring a safe and engaging environment. You will be responsible for providing all necessary documentation to support the delivery of these programs. Promoting the programs offered at Kew Traffic School, you will liaise with early childhood services, primary schools, and other community organisations to foster participation and awareness.
Employment Requirements
Tertiary qualification in early childhood or primary school education.
Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
Preferred applicants will be required to undergo a National Police Record Check and hold a valid Working with Children Clearance.
