Position Summary
Ma and Pa's Popcorn Factory is looking for an energetic, organized, and outgoing Events & Fundraising Coordinator to help grow and manage our fundraising and community event business.
This position will be responsible for maintaining strong relationships with organizations that currently conduct fundraisers with Ma and Pa's Popcorn Factory while actively developing new fundraising partnerships with schools, PTAs/PTOs, sports teams, clubs, churches, community organizations, nonprofits, and other groups.
The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys building relationships, making sales, being involved in the community, and turning conversations into long-term partnerships. This position will play an important role in expanding our fundraising program and increasing repeat business from existing organizations.
Key ResponsibilitiesExisting Fundraiser Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for current fundraising organizations.
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with schools, teams, PTAs/PTOs, clubs, and other organizations.
- Follow up with existing customers to encourage repeat and seasonal fundraisers.
- Help organizations plan and schedule their fundraising campaigns.
- Communicate fundraiser timelines, ordering procedures, product information, and expectations.
- Monitor upcoming fundraisers and ensure organizations receive timely follow-up and support.
- Identify opportunities to increase participation, order volume, and repeat fundraising events.
- Maintain accurate records of current fundraising accounts, contacts, past campaigns, and future opportunities.
- Gather feedback from organizations and communicate opportunities for improvement to management.
New Business Development
- Actively seek out new fundraising opportunities within the community and surrounding areas.
- Develop relationships with:
- Schools and school districts
- PTAs/PTOs
- Youth sports teams and leagues
- Booster clubs
- Dance and cheer organizations
- Churches and religious organizations
- Scouts and youth organizations
- Nonprofits and community organizations
- Clubs and extracurricular programs
- Other groups looking for fundraising opportunities
- Prospect for new accounts through phone calls, emails, social media, networking, community events, and in-person outreach.
- Schedule and conduct presentations or meetings with potential fundraising partners.
- Explain Ma and Pa's fundraising program, products, process, and benefits to prospective organizations.
- Follow up consistently with leads and prospective customers.
- Maintain a pipeline of prospective fundraising organizations and track progress from initial contact through completed fundraiser.
- Develop creative approaches to generate new fundraising leads and partnerships.
- Work toward established sales, account growth, and fundraising goals.
Events & Community Outreach
- Represent Ma and Pa's Popcorn Factory at community events, school events, fairs, expos, and other appropriate gatherings.
- Identify local events and organizations that provide opportunities for brand awareness and new business.
- Help coordinate and prepare for fundraising-related events and promotional activities.
- Build relationships with community leaders, educators, coaches, organizers, and business owners.
- Promote Ma and Pa's Popcorn Factory as a reliable and easy-to-work-with fundraising partner.
Administrative & Organizational Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate customer and prospect information.
- Track leads, contacts, scheduled fundraisers, completed fundraisers, and follow-up activities.
- Keep fundraising calendars and deadlines organized.
- Prepare reports for management regarding new leads, active accounts, completed fundraisers, and sales activity.
- Coordinate internally to ensure fundraising orders and commitments are communicated accurately.
- Help identify trends and opportunities to improve the fundraising program.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Outgoing, friendly, and comfortable initiating conversations with new people.
- Sales or business development experience preferred.
- Experience working with schools, nonprofits, youth organizations, sports programs, or community groups is a plus.
- Excellent organizational and follow-up skills.
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
- Professional phone, email, and in-person communication skills.
- Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, CRM/customer management systems, and social media.
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel locally for meetings and events.
- Ability to represent Ma and Pa's Popcorn Factory in a positive and professional manner.

- Revenue generated through new and existing fundraising accounts.
- Number of active fundraising partnerships.
- Lead generation and follow-up activity.
- Customer satisfaction and relationship development.
- Participation in community events and outreach activities.
- Overall growth of the company's fundraising program.
Compensation
Compensation: $48,000-$55,000 + Commission
Additional compensation or incentives may be available based on fundraising sales, new account development, or other performance goals.
