Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity
Cornwall House Community Mental Health Team is looking for an experienced and motivated psychiatrist to join their well-established and innovative Community Mental Health Team in Epsom.
Cornwall House provides a multi-disciplinary, recovery focussed service service for adults experiencing serious mental illness and severe psychological disorders living in south-central Auckland. As a psychiatrist at Cornwall House, you will work across the Care and Recovery team and the planned acute care team, allowing for continuity of care of our whaiora and variation in your work.
The Care and Recovery team provides comprehensive psychiatric assessments and a range of therapeutic treatment options in collaboration with service users, their whānau, local communities and the Multi-Disciplinary Team within the CMHC.
The Planned Acute Care team offers assessment and intervention to Cornwall House whaiora who require acute care in the community.
You will be responsible for your own caseload and provide medical input to the rest of the multi-disciplinary team. You will see service users at the center but also be required to do home, community and GP based visits and liaison.
You will be part of a dedicated service, supporting excellent clinical care, while developing your existing Mental Health knowledge and clinical skills in an established and multidisciplinary work

Candidates must be vocationally registered with the Medical Council of New Zealand, holding a current Annual Practising Certificate or eligibility for one. A Post Graduate qualification in Psychiatry is preferred.
